Michael Pardun, Chief Executive Officer & Director 

Mike Pardun has two decades of experience in start-up, private and public companies, where he has focused on commercializing new technologies. He has founded or helped found several companies, including one of the world's first broadband Internet Service Providers while in the United Kingdom in the early 90's (acquired by Microsoft) and more recently founding a Denver based renewable technology firm that developed a 250+ Megawatt pipeline of commercial and utility scale solar projects across North America. Over his career, Mike has participated in both sides of the fund-raising process; personally participating in raising over $500M in private equity and debt and directly participating in two Initial Public Offerings; including a joint offering on both the FTSE & NYSE. He has experience working with companies from the perspectives of operation executive, venture capital provider and management consulting partner. Mike holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and attended the International Management program at the London School of Economics. 

 

 

Peter J. A. Tijm, Chief Technology Officer

An expert in catalysis/process and the economy of synthetic fuels and chemicals and industry insider, is the author of the book "Gas to Liquids, Fischer-Tropsch, Advanced Energy Technology, Future's Pathway". Mr. Tijm is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Delft Technical University and in Economics and Management from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He joined Shell, The Hague in The Netherlands in 1973 in an international career, which would last over 23 years with the company. During these years, he had the pleasure of seeing the energy industry from the inside in all its aspects. He also had the privilege to be part of technology development, from its initiation in the laboratory to industrial realization, in coal gasification and the Shell Middle Distillate Synthesis process that had, at the time, the largest reactors in the world. This included commercialization of novel products. Mr. Tijm speaks eight languages, is (co) author of over 70 papers, and holder of 12 patent series.

 

 

Lynn B. Newman, President

Lynn Newman has held leadership positions in major U.S. and international software companies. He has guided the transition of four start-ups into fully-functioning, profitable enterprises. At Serena Software, he managed the business transformation from a development company to a full-service software company now one of the largest software corporations in the world. At Sterling Software, he was director of two divisions, managing the introduction and long-term growth of key product lines, several of which earned industry awards for innovation and significant revenue achievements. Sterling was acquired by Computer Associates in 2000 for $3.3 billion. His background includes over nine years as a management consultant with the accounting firms Ernst & Young and Grant Thornton.



Geradette (Gerri) Giardino, Corporate Secretary/Treasurer

Geradette Giardino has initiated the development of new programs for institutions and private business for 35 years. She has led groups and individuals through stages of concept development, funding, strategic management and transitioning for success. Standard Alcohol the third company she has co-founded in the energy and environmental fields. Her more traditional positions included working for private, state and federal organizations. Ms. Giardino is also co-author of Standard Alcohol's third pending U.S. patent.
